A West Texas native, author Glenn Justice has written extensively about the history of the Texas Big Bend and holds a BA and MA in history from the University of Texas Permian Basin. While working as a staff writer on the new edition of the Handbook of Texas published by the Texas State Historical Association, Justice penned more than one hundred articles on the Big Bend and Permian Basin for the massive encyclopedia of Texas history. He has presented numerous professional papers to such organizations as The Texas State Historical Association, the West Texas Historical Association, the Permian Basin Historical Society and the Center For Bend Studies. The writer also taught history at the University of Texas Permian Basin and Midland College. He has written four books including Revolution on the Rio Grande, Odessa: An Illustrated History, Cattle and Dudes, and Little Known History Of The Texas Big Bend. Presently the writer is completing a fifth manuscript titled More Little Known History Of The Texas Big Bend: Documented Chronicles of Apaches, Comanches, Frontiersmen, Outlaws and Lawmen.
